It is designed to work with Black Rapid's MODS system. The locking FastenR3 connects the strap to the tripod socket located on either the camera body or the lens. Once connected, the camera hangs upside down, resting securely at the side or in the small of the back, with the lens pointing behind. The strap has a curved pad with a mesh underside for comfort and breathability. The weight is evenly distributed for comfort.

Yes its expensive for a strap, BUT, its invaluable if you have a large DSLR and are using it for extended periods of time, get one! After an hour's shooting the other day on Canon's standard neck strap, my neck was aching and i couldn't wait to put the camera down, used the RS-7 for a 6 hour wedding shoot the other day without a problem, fantastic!
Apart from the comfort value, ease of use is key, the camera sits at your hip and when you grab hold of the camera grip, your camera swings naturally to eye and when you've taken the shot, swing it back down to your hip, gunslinger fashion where it sits comfortably and securely waiting for the next shot.
I've had it on a 1DX with a 200f2 and i wouldn't trust 10k's worth of gear on a cheaper strap.
Buy it from Ian, you'll be glad you did and you wont find it anywhere cheaper on the web
