The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens is an easy-to-use standard zoom lens that can cover a large zoom area ranging from 24mm wide-angle to 105mm portrait-length telephoto.
The EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM incorporates Canon's highest standards of precision optics. The L-series is Canon's flagship professional lens range, combining outstanding image performance and ultimate operability with dust and moisture resistant construction.
Canon's ring-type USM gives silent but quick AF, along with full-time manual focus. Moreover, with dust- and moisture-resistant construction, this is a durable yet sophisticated lens that meets the demands of advanced amateur photographers and professional photographers alike.
- Image Stabilizer
- Ideal for handheld work, IS Image Stabilizer allows use of shutter speeds up to 3-stops slower with no perceptible increase in image blur.
- Fixed Aperture
- With no change in aperture over the full focal length range, photographers can set exposure at the widest aperture and zoom through to 105mm without slowing shutter speed.
- Super UD and Aspherical Lens Elements
- Constructed with one Super-UD glass element and three aspherical lenses, this lens minimizes chromatic aberration and distortion. The result is excellent picture quality, even at wide apertures.
- Ring USM
- Ring USM (Ultrasonic motor) uses ultrasonic frequency vibrations to drive responsive, near-silent high speed auto focus. Good holding torque stops the focusing lens group with precision without overshoot. Full time manual focus override is available without having to switch out of AF.
- Super Spectra Coatings
- Optimized Super Spectra lens coatings and lens element shaping suppress flare and ghosting - more prone to occur with digital cameras due to reflection off the image sensor. Coatings also help achieve true color balance and increase contrast for vivid hi-fidelity images.

Canon. Quality of a proven market leader. in your hand!

A Great lens to match the superb Canon 5DMk3 body
I am still exploring both items bought from Ian @ Flash Camera.I do know I shall enjoy my photography even more now because of this purchase. I have no intention to try and describe my Camera or lens in technical detail. I would recommend anyone thinking of an upgrade to the 5DMk3 to go for it !

I am happy to buy from Flash Camera again as the sales process for this lens was quick and easy and the lens arrived soon after purchase.
The lens is great although not used it much yet. Registered OK for the warranty.
Looking forward to getting out and using it.

Canon 24-105 f4 L

Needed a new lens for my wife's 7D and decided to go for this. She used it at 3 weddings last weekend and the image quality is fantastic.
Flash Camera kept me informed about the status of the order at all times and the lens was delivered on time and really well packaged. Price was excellent.

Well after needing a new walkabout lens I chose the Canon 24-105 and have been extremely pleased with it.
The build is very impressive and it is quick to focus. I think my favourite part of the lens is the IS as this has enabled me to use a much slower shutter speed hand held.
I am so glad that I decided to go for this lens and is worth every penny.

This is currently one of my favourite lenses in my kit. I can see the difference in quality on my 550D. Hopefully once I've upgraded to a 7D I can utilise its abilities to their full potential. The lens on my 7D is increadable.
BUT the service i recived outweights the lens by far, emails exchanged at 3am, item recived the next day and cashback from canon ! Amazing service, quality product and a very happy customer.

This is an incredibly versatile lens on full-frame and also great on crop bodies too. Landscape, portrait, low light, action, it does well with them all.
The build is great and the image stabiliser works well with the f4 aperture in low light.
A lot lighter than a 24-70 and probably more use.
If you want faster glass buy primes, if you want a 24-something zoom look no further than this.
